Now with the option to Pin It.......

Over the past month I've tried to figure out how to add the Pin It button to my posts...

Now since I'm no wiz in any computer language I asked my son - sons are supposed to know stuff like that - I guess not... or maybe he didn't have the patience...lol

Never the less I've spent two hours dead tired, eyes hurting trying to fix it.... and I did... pretty proud of my self if I may say so.

Perhaps I should see if there is a "HTML for Dummies" out there, it could be useful some day..

I have so many new projects in the pipeline, and not enough hours in the day.....Oh oh... and a new flower tutorial in the making.....

Thanks for visiting...

6"x6" canvas.... vintage inspired

This beautiful canvas will decorate anywhere....

And the cards are all ready to be sent......

Wow..... It was more difficult than I thought.... Normally I will make 5-10 cards of one design. However, I wanted some variation in the cards, so there will be a lot to choose from.

I know I'm not the only one making and donating cards, but I wanted to show the thought and care I've put in this project.

Hope you like the end result and feel free to leave a comment. Thank you for watching:-)

A little sneak peek.....

This is just one of the Christmas cards I have been making for the organization "Skriv hjem"/ write home. Where cards are sent out to our troops for them to use to send to family and friends...

I will post a gathered view when I'm done and before shipping them off.

I really love how this card turned out...luckily I still have more paper :-)

Thanks for watching.

An altered jewelry box... now for sale...

I found this hideous old jewelry box... Quite damaged and water damaged.

Due to water there was a dent in the bottom, so I used some wall filler to make the surface even. Painted the whole thing with Gesso and then Ivory acrylic paint.

Found a 12 x 12 sheet of paper 7Gypsies with a Roman theme. Thought that it would match perfectly with the eyelet fabric I had in a goldish color.

Had to find a way to attach the top and the bottom as it used to be attached by a leather looking paper.... Found an old hinge that I spiked up with some copper  Airondac ink.

I think it turned out quite nice....however, I still need some more practice in this.

Thanks for watching...

A tag for a good cause.....

My friend Liz Russell from YouTube heard on FB of a sweet little 6 year old girl Liliana who has leukemia.

The cancer is going back, but it has been a hard and difficult time for the entire family.

Aug. 23. Is Liliana's birthday and all she wishes for are letters. Cards or tags.

So Liz asked among her subscribers on YT to commit to send Liliana a card or a tag.

Sending a letter to Alamo, GA take some time, and being in the finishing of a project, I decided to send a tag I made a while ago..... It is now headed to Alamo hopefully make a little girl happy.

It is nice to help out.... In Denmark we have "operation skriv hjem" www.operationskrivhjem.blogspot.com where you can make cards for our troops in Afganistan and other places. If you want to help this is a great way to do it.

Go to the blog for further details.

Market day with my sister....

Last Saturday my sis and I had a booth at a market (kræmmermarked/loppemarked) a mix of a flea market and a garage sale.

I decided to bring some of my creations for sale. It would mean money in the bank and space in my craft room:-)

It was also a great opportunity for my sis and I to spend some quality time since she lives 1 1/2 hour from Copenhagen.

I was overly satisfied with my sale and with the connections I made:-)

The album I made for my self a while ago got a new owner:-). It is the taupe/creme and black album in the left side of the photo. Sold a lot of cards, my altered tissue rolls, some lace and one of my small altered boxes... All in all a great day.

Busy bee.....

It is 1.30 am and I'm still up... I somehow can't make myself go to bed....have way too much to do still.
Tomorrow.... Actually today I'm hosting an event for the former class mates of my youngest son who is currently serving a mission in Ireland. He has been out 3 months and 5 days.... so you think I'm counting the days until he comes home..? I am!!! :-). There will be mails and pictures from his time so far and two missionaries who are serving in Denmark who can explain what missionaries do in a daily basis.
I am so excited.
Then I'm creating altered items to bring to a fair by my sisters home 1,5 hours drive from here this coming Saturday. Lots of handmade cards, altered tissue rolls, altered boxes, lanterns, frames, origami boxes and a couple of albums.... not to mention a lot of business cards:-).
I am also hoping to make one or two mixed media canvases, but time will tell:-)
Thanks for visiting my blog.
