Three heart shaped boxes - my last project for a while....

A dear friend of mine gave me these three boxes right before Christmas. They were plain veneer. Perfect to try out the crackle technique I've seen on YT. This only goes for the burnt umber and green boxes. First I painted them white with Gesso on the entire outside. Left them to dry entirely. Then I painted the top and bottom with a good layer of white school glue. After about 5 min. I painted on top of the glue with the color I wanted. After it was completely dried it showed the most amazing crackles in the paint.... I am so satisfied with the results:-).

The reddish one I also painted with Gesso and then sprayed it with various glimmer mists and mists both store bought and home made. My first time trying the drip effect. Must say though using this technique painting over with Mod Podge to protect the surfaces is not a good idea is smudges out the spray colors. How ever a spray varnish would do.

Mod Podge or other types of varnish works great on the crackle paint after it is completely dried.

My reason for shutting down my craft room, is the need for a 100% focus on applying for jobs. Please pray for me that I will find one soon. Thank you❤️ Wishing you all a happy New Year. Hugs Lene

Three mini albums - custom order

My latest creations... One might say... Well Lene, where is the third? At present it is drying:-) I just couldn't wait to upload.

This album I've used Prima paper Wisper Collection and a sheet of a Bo Bunny from my stash. Unfortunately I cut off the information strip...

For embellishment I have a homemade fabric rose and some seam binding that I dyed myself. And a string of peach pearl string from msgardengrove1's Etsy store.

The third album is now ready to view:-)

For this album I used papers from 7Gypsies. Absolutely stunning papers. Embellishment I punched some leaves using the small leaves from Tim Holtz Movers & Shapers inked them up and embossed with UTE. The big rose is Prima and the two other roses are from Wild Orchid Craft 2,5 cm.

A pearl string from my stash and a frame also from a Tim Holtz die.

Jeg fik solgt en del julekort, det lille lyseblå album og blonder. Derudovre fik jeg tre bestillinger på lignende album som det lyseblå.

Et fantastisk feed back var, at billeder ikke yder mine kreationer retfærdighed, de er meget flottere i virkeligheden... Det blev jeg super glad for at høre.

My very first configuration box / sættekasse

Finally I got it done... not that it has been a difficult task, but I must focus more on applying for jobs and less scrapping.. I need money to buy more wonderful scrap stuff...:-)

Enough said... this is an 8" x 8" box of plain wood nothing fancy. I painted it to get a crackle look first painting it on the side panels and back with ordinary school glue and then painted with acrylic paint. When it dries up it gives amazing texture. And then I covered it with paper...lol

I used the papers from Jodie Lee Design - Butterfly Garden and Fairy Belle both bought as downloads... beautiful subtle papers that coordinates wonderful.

I lined up all the compartments with paper and distressed the edges with Ranger's Vintage Photo.

I fussy cut three of the fairies and placed them on the front and I think they look lovely.

When you look at the close-ups you can see how I decorated each compartment with homemade roses as well as Orchid Crafts Roses, and a few gardenias from my stash. tiny cloths pins, metal embellishments, buttons, a cork for a spool, not to mention lace from my blog shop... check it out!

It really was a lot of fun creating it and I will be putting it up for sale on my upcoming open house.... However, if you really want this adorable and decorative item send me a mail.

Altered antique box....

Hi there...

I have had this box for quite a while... Bright green....not all that pretty. And there was a piece of the rim of the lid that was broken off, so I had to mend it with some wall putty...

There are some amazing details on the side of the box that I didn't want to cover with paper, so I painted the entire box with gesso and dabbed some ivory acrylic paint a couple of places. Mixed a bright green with some black, taupe and yellow.... That was also dabbed around. Added some Graphic 45 papers.

Decorated the lid with some Wild Orchid Crafts roses, Prima roses and a big green rose from my stash. Prima bling. Distressed doilie from Sizzix/Tim Holtz, some cheese cloth and a small alarm clock charm.

This is NOT for sale, I'm so satisfied with it and love it.

HAUL of wooden boxes...

Hello there....

Found all these wooden boxes of various designs for DKK 200 approximate USD 30...

Mixed media - family:-)

Had this wonderful picture of me and my amazing sons from early spring this year. Just a couple of days before my youngest left for a two year mission for our church.

After having made a few mixed media - I took a deep breath and made on for this picture.

Being on a very low scrapping budget, I mix my own glimmer mists. One day I hope to be able to buy Linds's Stamp Gang sprays, but for now I just have to make my own out of my Stampin'Up refills... lucky I have a lot of those..:-)

It actually came out the way I hoped for... just wished the pink would've been more peach:-). But you can't have it all....lol.

Since the canvas is quite small even though it is 12" x 12" / 30 x 30 cm, it is very tiny on my wall above my sofa, where I would like to get rid of the picture that is hanging there. So now I'm making a series of canvases in various sizes... but with some what matching colors...

Fall mini album - for sale..

It is soon to be fall, the leaves are beginning to change in color and it is beautiful.

So I pulled out a paper collection I bought actually the first paper pad I got when I just began scrapbooking earlier this year - Bo Bunny "Apple Cider" collection and I also bought some die cuts... Man, does that make embellishing an album so much easier? Loved it.

For the cover I found some very nice paper that corresponded great with the paper collection... I did not have any 12" x 12" papers to use for the cover... Lucky me:-)

It is a five page paper bag album. However, I made the bags myself as it is not all that easy to get paper bags.

Decorated the cover with a homemade flower and some smaller roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. I dyed some seambinding for closure with Stampin'Up's Pumpkin Pie and it turned out beautiful. Added a small charm to the ribbon.

It is so beautiful and I just love the warm colors.
